Stories told in sequences

A story is not ten strong images — it is the space between them. Fluxara publishes editorial series with pacing: wide, medium, detail, rest.

Series

The alley as a sentence fragment

Urban alley with warm light
Opening frame — compression and a ribbon of sky.

The edit moves from tight verticals to a single wider beat where the subject becomes small — not to diminish them, but to reveal the scale of the city’s geometry around their stride.

We avoid redundant angles; each photograph answers a question posed by the previous one. When the sequence ends, the reader should feel the alley continue beyond the last frame.

How we assign stories

Contributors propose a thesis in twenty frames, then cut to twelve. Editors work on rhythm: where to breathe, where to shock with silence. If you photograph stories with ethical clarity and compositional patience, we would love to see your work via Contact.
